Hi all, long time ago since my last post. Nice to see a lot of nice images posted in the meantime. Less happy about recent posts with the 20-40 ( because I don’t have that one yet and try to convince myself that I don’t need more lenses.)
I’ve taken a trip last febr- march to Japan and South Korea, taking my 15,21,40 and 70 mm limiteds, (and acquired a second hand 100mm macro when in Japan). Together with my KP it was a nice light high quality setup.
Here are some pictures:

21mm: multilevel Shibuya by Mark, on Flickr
40mm: The yakitori take out by Mark, on Flickr
70mm: City sunset by Mark, on Flickr
100mm: ( I know it’s not called a limited, but it fits right in for build and image quality and light weight so I sneak one picture in…) Fire Festival (4) by Mark, on Flickr

Yeah, the 35mm is a very good lens, although it's somehow the ltd that fits me the least....
Here's one from my 21mm (f10 1/125 ISO 100). A lens with such humble numbers, that keeps giving me more than I expect. Delftse Poort and Rotterdam Central Station by beeldmark, on Flickr

Yes it felt quite exclusive, being able to get there. Not many foreign travellers, and also not many Japanese either. Winter is Such a different world! It probably wasn't possible to walk to the top in the winter, was it?

I love the last one, how the silhouettes and shadows of the trees make one black line.

Yes, it's the escalator in Canary Wharf station of the new DLR underground/light rail line. When searching in Flickr after posting it there, I noticed I was not the only one struck by the light and lines....

The B&W's from wed 7 are beautiful, as well as the scaringly sharp selfportrait of Towa ( I 'd have said razorsharp, but it's obvious that the 70mm doesn't work that way :-)
To soften the mood, here's another b&w, from a canal in Utrecht, the Netherlands, with my 70mm Utrecht in shadows and light (8) by beeldmark, on Flickr

Lot's of good pictures, lately. The (after) sunset pics of MattB, the fantastic light of the 21mm streetscenes from Nick Larsson, to mention a few.
I thought I'd share some pics of my limited holiday to the coastal area of Nord-Pas de Calais, in northern France. Limited, because it was only five days, and I took only my 21, 40 and 70 mm limiteds. Let me show you two of each. shadows by beeldmark, on Flickr

those are very professional looking portraits! including the models, btw. Don't look like casual streetportraits at all, so I wonder what - besides the processing- you dit to get the look: studio? strobist info?

I love this! a simple subject/composition and a fantastic almost monochrome color. (I own the 12-24, ánd the 21ltd, so I can't really justify buying a 15mm...... yet ;)

That's a beautiful place to live! So different from the Netherlands, where every square meter is assigned for some function, and where nature resembles an American city park... Two nice pictures, that complement each other. The treas are beautiful.

this thread has cost me a lot of money (and gave me some great little tools in stead). Your pictures helped me to make up my mind. Now I own the 35, the 40, the 70 and since a few month the 21 ltd, I'm starting to recognize the character of these lenses, the great sharpness en detail. Of the recent pictures, I especially liked the evening ride pictures of MattB123, and the portraits of the Maroccan kids from Mpa3yka.
still need to get used to my 21mm, but here are some pictures of it:

thanks for that! I feel flattered to hear that from you, your photo's are great!
btw, I decided to get the 70mm (if the euro is holding up against the yen, because I was planning to buy it in Japan). and not the 77mm. price, faster focussing, weight, and not much difference in image quality are the reasons, in order of importance. they seem to have a different character, but I think I like them both, so...

just posting my first shots in this thread. I've been looking around for examples of the 70ltd, which I'm thinking of buying, especially of the nature of the bokeh of this lens. Of the recent pics posted, I especially like the pic of the two women (obasan), because of the light, and the fantastic uniformity of color tones.
here are some pictures of my only limited lens, the 35 ltd
(this is my bicycle, well parts of it..)
and an archititecture shot
I hope you like them.
