Well... presets are not "magic" - you try them all, and go with the best look you are looking for. Also, if you know LR well, go with the Develop module where you can control everything.

I used the "cold tone" preset in LR - whatever it does :)

Have had FA 77mm for a while, and only used it today for the first time. I was using flash for pictures of a model, and then I said to myself how it would be to shoot in natural light. The result was stunning - the picture was simply converted to BW using lightroom and resized, no other PP. I am starting to love this lens!

You need to get some sort of commission from Pentax :) For the sake of lighting study, how did you get such a shot? I am guessing some sort of diffused lighting to avoid glare? What was your PP in? Just trying to learn from better artists :)

If there is one picture in this thread I want to most emulate, this is it. So natural, crisp, lively... It is as if there is a frog on my computer screen!

I just acquired a brand new FA77, and I am afraid I won't be able to take as nice pics as some of you have (as someone mentioned, they don't make you an artist). But I am impressed what I can potentially do. I am yet to open the box :)
I also have a brand new FA 35mm on the way - I got this since FA 31mm seems to be elusive, and more expensive. Wondering if I should keep this or still go for the 31mm LTD? I haven't seen too many FA35 pictures, but from what I have seen it is a worthy replacement for the 31mm.
