Yes Im aware that the 43mm gets thinner DOF, and the 55 get even thinner then the 77 is even thiner etc....
I dont think I worded my original post correctly...
The 30mm 1.4 gives a more isolated look with its wider FOV at wide apertures.

Its a hard question to answer, better at what?
The FA43 is better at some things and the Sigma 30 is better at others.
I use the 30mm more these days because I like that focal lenght better than the 43mm on APS-C. Also it creates a wider (being 30mm) and shallower look that only a f/1.4 can do.
I mainly use my FA43 these days for landscape, which it blows pretty much any other lens out the water!

Great set of shots there Steve, the 31ltd is great in your hands.
Thanks mate!
Great shots again, looks very cold there!
Nice!
Thanks!
I know how you feel about the wedding editing, my last wedding was a while back now, you soon realise (during the editing) why pros charge the big bucks!
Nice wedding shots you have gotten too!
Speaking of weddings, Ive got another one coming up in a couple of months....

Nice work Ash!
Yeah the FA43 does a fine job at being a landscape lens, I use it quite often for them- |

Nice shot!
I noticed the FA77 is crossed out in your sig, did you sell it recently in favour of the FA*85?

Nice shot mate!
I might have shot it with a wider aperture to give the subject abit more isolation though :)
