I was lucky enough to see this Peregrine Falcon while hiking with my K-3 and DA* 300. The light was not the best but the falcon was pretty unfazed by my presence. It never moved other than to turn it's head so I hiked a bit to get two different angles. The AF on my copy of this lens does struggle at times but I took enough shots to get some good ones.

I took this macro shot recently with my K-3 and a Tamron 90 mm lens. I submitted it to USA Today and it was featured on the weather page of today's newspaper (back page of section 1). It's also posted on their website on the weather page.

A shot of Thursday's partial solar eclipse. This shot was one featured in USA Today's Your Takes photo section on the eclipse. It was nice to see a caption that indicated the shot was taken with a Pentax camera. I don't recall seeing any others in that section.
