I didn't know that. I've got the 17-70 f2.8-4.5 and it zooms in the "wrong" direction.

One thing I dont like about Sigma zooms is that the zoom ring works the opposite way from the Pentax (or Tamron) zooms. Seems trivial but I always find myself zooming the wrong way for the first 10 minutes or so after I've mounted the Sigma zoom, and then again for another 10 minutes after I switch form the Sigma to my Pentax. That factor alone makes me want to sell my Sigma for a Pentax.
