This is possibly technically the worst panorama in the thread, but I couldn't bring myself to throw it away as I liked the scene and colours, and damn it I dragged myself out of bed before sunrise.
Any hints on how to take a successful pano in this situation? In case it isn't immediately obvious, the problem is the time it takes to capture the photos and the movement of the waves... Untitled by ducVduc, on Flickr

Wow, that's a great one too. The quality of pictures in this thread is pretty amazing.
I think panorama's are an underrated style/technique, probably something to do with having to display them so small online.

Wow! Those are absolutely fantastic images, thanks for posting them. Can you share whether they were hand held or tripod?

Oh boy. Can you please stop posting your pano's here because you are making me feel really bad about my pano photos. LOL.
Just kidding, your photos are unbelievable, keep it coming :)

Still experimenting with panoramas, here's a handheld sequence. It has massive distortion as it was taken close up with a DA15. |

Very very nice pano.
I bought one of these for ~$100 delivered off ebay . When I get it I'll try and remember to do some kind of mini review. It seems to be a chinese knock-off of the $250 arca-swiss version.

Ha ha, not in my budget at this stage. After a bit of reasearch I finally found and ordered a L-braket to (hopefully!) fit my K-x. It's on the way in the post, so now I'll have to take a few more pano's to justify my purchase.

I just bought Autopano pro to do more. Here's a couple of them...
Unfortunately I made a real hash in taking the frames for the second pano, one of my lessons learned was never to flop over the camera on a ball head and pan to take photos for a pano, it makes the parallax error very severe. I think I either need to take multi row pano with the camera in landscape orientation, or buy an L-bracket or something.
