A few more words about Takumar 58mm f2,4 lens. I am using lens only on FF Canon and wide open is quite sharp in central portion of frame, corners are not particulary good, af f4 it become very good across all frame, at f5,6 is as good as any new lens. It has very rich and a little on a warm side color rendering. Bokeh is very unique and totally different from Takumar 55mm f1,8 lens. Lens is not suited for shooting against the sun, but sometimes photos made against the sun are really funny.
Few more shots with FF Canon |

Not SMC but S-M-C. I am talking about the lens with metal fokus grip and not later which has ruber grip. But there are very small differences, so it depends also on adapter. MkII has live view which is good thing for proper set of the lens and adapter. Infinity must be really at the end of focus scale, not between 10m and infinity.

Thanks for comments!
About Takumar 50mm f1,4. I have three versions of this lens and only one does not hit the mirror on my mkII. Of course the problem occur just with the lens set to infinity. Until 10m everything works perfectly. So I have Super Takumar V1 that hit mirror, Super Takumar V2 also, but S-M-C Takumar does not.
