That's a cute one, Paul. Reminds me of the little guy in this picture. He was pedaling as hard as he could to keep up with the family: |

Beautiful bikes, Arn. A friend of mine restored a vintage Peugeout as his commuter (new wheels, drivetrain improvements, brake pads, etc) , so it continues to live on even though it's more than 40 years old. Those old lugged steel bikes are special.
For a very different beast, or at least the track of one, here's the track of the Endomorph...

Super photo, Tuco, and thanks for the info. Getting so low a perspective really gives a sense of speed underway. I've tried holding my camera at bottom bracket level to shoot motion pictures, but almost wiped out doing that so gave it up. Nice job!

I'd be interested in knowing how you made that jig. It's a great idea resulting in a great shot!

 Is this a "selfie"? Is the dog hungry?
My husband nearly lost an eye because a dog brought him down when cycling.

Thanks for the link on these, Tim. Erik's Bar Mitts look quite toasty.
I've seen the kayaking ones, Matt. They use hook-and-loop tabs to hold them in place over the paddle shaft so you can slip your hands in and out without having to wear them. One of the benefits of them is that there's no extra fabric around the paddle shaft to make control hard. The originals (I believe they were originals) were called Pogies. I was thinking of making something like that for my winter bike.

I was wondering about those hand-arm covers, too. Are they commercially available, does anyone know?

If you're riding down the road and you feel a shallow but rhythmic thudding, it could be caused by this:
Which means buying a new wheel, and then you'll have to remove the cassette from the old one: |

This woman had a mile more of climbing to do on a hot, still day. She's waving her arm languidly fore and aft to cool herself. The Long Climb |

I've never seen a pedicab quite like this, George. An eye-catcher, surely.

Oh dear, Arn, that looks like a Ghost Bike. From Wikipedia : A ghost bike or ghostcycle is a bicycle set up as a roadside memorial in a place where a cyclist has been killed or severely injured (usually by a motor vehicle)[1][2] Apart from being a memorial, it is usually intended as a reminder to passing motorists to share the road. Ghost bikes are usually junk bicycles painted white, sometimes with a placard attached, and locked to a suitable object close to the scene of the accident. |

This poor bike is locked to an iron railing, and perhaps because it couldn't be stolen, some vandals smashed it so now it has two tacoed wheels. |

Not a great shot, but it was the only chance I had to capture this guy and I didn't have my camera right to hand. Velomobiles are darned rare... Go-One3 |

I'm jealous, Matt! Great shots of what looks like a perfect mountain biking trail. And BARE ARMS! Won't have that here for a month or more yet.

What an elegant Xtracycle, jas0n. Did you build it up yourself? I bet your children love riding on the board on the back.
