Rense, you just keep those wonderful photos coming. Well done.
Na Horuk, those are impressive peaks. In Slovenia?
Can you tell the prevailing wind in this wetland?
This was one of the first photos I shot with a DSLR (Pentax K200D and the DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.8 AL II kit lens) and processed using a basic application. I like the setting but need to work on that PP.

Bad luck about your shoulder, Rense. I hope the surgery was a complete success and you recover full range of motion, or at least become pain-free. As for the vibe, we all need a break from shooting sometimes, I think. Best wishes for a productive and inspirational year.

Thanks, Wllm. Great shot there. So many sets of parallel lines.
I like these two sumac trees and often attempt to shoot them so they stand out a bit from their surroundings. Not sure I succeed, but it's fun to try. From two angles:

Beautiful photo of the horses, Rense.
Joe, terrific winter river shot. I can see tracks on that island (if it is an island).
Javier, I really like how the rocks in the shallows are visible and slowly disappear into the city's reflection.
Great photo of the road pointing toward the silos, Jussi. Stormclouds |

Thanks, Wllm. I've never had such a wide wide angle lens before, and it's going to be a lot of fun, but I've got plenty of work to do to learn the lessons it can teach me.

Skipen, that's a beautiful dreamy photo. Wllm, I love your fog photos. The figure you added gives it an even more mysterious feel.
Just got a new lens, a Sigma 10-20 f/4-5.6. Had really terrible light the day it arrived -- flat, dim, overcast, dull. Awful. But then the sun broke through under the clouds at sunset. Here's one shot I took. Might be that this is a bit dark, though. |

Gosh, Javier, that third picture of yours looks a lot like you took it from near the library in Lakeside, CA. I don't remember seeing that "initialed" tree, so I assume that it's a different place.

Thank you, bbluesman. This is a great forum and I'm so glad I discovered it, even if after owning a K200D for almost a year. I've already learned so much, and the photographs folks display are wonderful inspiration.

There are some really beautiful photos here. I very much enjoy monochrome photographs, and have recently been converting a lot of my color shots into B&W. Here are three of my more recent ones.
