My 2 cents which may be nonsense anyway:

I crop in post but certainly try to get the framing right when shooting so say I crop about 50%. The only one I never, ever use is 4:3, I just don't like the esthetics of it - it is too close to square without actually being square and seems unbalanced to me. I use square 1:1 crops sparingly, only where appropriate as per the subject. A 16:9 crop is often used on land/sea-scapes with a horizon in view and for the rest I tend to stick to 3:2
