S-M-C or SMC? The SMC versions came out in 1973 along with the F.

The 8-element lens was only produced for 1 year, 1964. SMC coating came into production in 1971...

The S-M-C Tak has 8 aperture blades, and the open aperture metering linkage. And SMC obviously.

Serial # seems high for 8-element. 154xxxx is about as high as they went. Rear element looks flat rather than protruding.

Yellowing isn't an indicator, exposure to UV de-yellows or prevents yellowing.
