I have one of the 28/2s. I've never been able to use it on a DSLR because it has the long aperture shield and one of the screws is stripped... Actually the 28 is a Kiron...

Great Vivitar 28mm Bestiary: Details

I do have a Komine Vivitar 28/2.8 in Minolta MD mount that I paid $15 for...

I also have a 90mm F2.5 macro labeled as a Rokunar. Haven't really used it because 1. It's kind of heavy, 2. The focus ring is very stiff (and it has to be turned really far), and 3. I have 3 other macro lenses...

Mine seems to be a late version with the A setting, but no A setting lock. (I had a 28mm Gemini that didn't have the A lock either).

And of course don't forget the third version of the Series 1 70-210...

I feel the same way about my Tamron 52BB. But Tamron slapped a SP on it, so it isn't surprising :) And the SP 35-80 01A. I never thought I would consider a manual focus zoom from the 1970s one of my best lenses...A lens that costs about $40 these days...(depending on if it has an adapter, or what kind of adapter...)

Have you ever come across a macro prime that wasn't really sharp? :hmm:

I mean a real macro prime...not one of those 1:4 - 1:6 28mm lenses the resellers called macro...
