I have my K-5 classic for over 3.5 years now with over 65k shutter actuations, so I know exactly what you mean...In fact, I got so frustrated with the focus a couple weeks ago when shooting in low light that I took the plunge and bought the IIs the week after...Focus is now confident without the last tiny adjustment and the accuracy is very reassuring, and the ability to focus down to -3EV is not a gimmick, it just works.

I said in 2012 when K-5 II and IIs came out that I wouldn't pay RRP just for the new AF system, but when a chance to get a IIs with 4400 shutter for half the RRP turned up locally, I could not pass up...:D

Got myself a used K-5IIs and decided to shoot with my FA 31 Limited wide open for a period of time to see how well the new AF system can cope with large aperture lens, I have to say the AF is dead on accurate in any lighting condition.

lol since we are talking about using FA31 in a different way, I took this 30sec exposure of the same bridge almost directly on the other side before the light was on for the last time for Vivid Sydney this year.

Ah I see, word of warning though, I have both the 43 and 77, and I have to constantly remind myself my DA 35 Macro serves me better and move away from that Order button for FA 31 to complete the trio:lol: Other than that, I am dead happy with my 2 of the 3 princess;)

Oh yes it can be removed, you just need to apply a little bit more force, it is a bit tight.:o

I know 43 is you baby but doing things gently is not always the way to go:D
