Thanks. I'm currently visiting PentasForums with Firefox so, I don't have an issue anymore.

Adam found the answer here: images from dsmithhfx no longer showing up - PentaxForums.com
It would seem Firefox isn't too fussy about secure links and neither is Safari. These two indeed still interpret the links, "unsafe" as they are.
The chromium-based browsers are fussy about security. That is why the links are no longer interpreted in those browsers.
Chromium might have been created by Google but it has long since been an Open Source project and is being used in most contemporary browsers that have nothing to do with Google.
For me, it's no longer an issue. I can use either Firefox or Safari to visit PentaxForums.
I use Edge as my standard browser, Firefox is dedicated for music and Safari for streaming service. But that is easily modified for me.
I'm just wondering if others will do so as well.
PS the reason you are still seeing the images in all browsers is most likely because they are pointing to a server where you have privileged access.
A bit like an image behind a password will also be visible for someone (the poster) who is logged in on that site and not for anyone else.

Perhaps now it's a browser setting rather than a forum setting.
For me, one image I could see before was suddenly "gone".
I did a random check on posts by dsmithhfx: all images are now "gone".
I checked with a good number of browsers and all chromium-based browsers show nothing in those posts.
Safari still shows the images.
Most likely the result of the http links.
Chromium is kind of allergic to anything other than https.
This suddenly happened because an update of the browser core was pushed recently.
@dsmithhfx
Any chance you switch to https protocol for linking your images?

Yes, I think this was the issue I remembered but that was solved by some setting in our preferences.
Now this setting would seem not to be available anymore.
At least, I didn't change anything and I don't seem to find any such setting in the preferences page anymore.

I'm afraid not.
all other posts are visible.
I remember there was a setting in the user profile that had to be enabled to view your images. I haven't changed anything though and I don't find any setting anymore that would seem to apply to this situation.
I'll ask someone from the support team for assistance.
