Thought I'd chime in with some of my latest, as it's been awhile and Fall has been pretty inspiring.
All shot with my 645Ns on Velvia 50. |

Perhaps it's all in the settings used for USM and Smart Sharpen. What values do you typically use for screen resolution?
Or maybe it's all in the larger neg size from the 67!

Fair point! I meant to say: your shots don't suffer from the usual film-to-scan-to-online quality loss that I see most of the time.

Tuco - I would love to get a tutorial from you on how you scan, process, and sharpen your photos for online use. Your shots always look as good as any digital shot! AND you can print to ridiculous sizes :)

That photo has a gorgeous painterly feel to it... every element seems placed there for a reason and works to create a very artful feel for the whole piece. Really nice!
*And* the developing looks awesome.

Definitely color. The B&W loses a lot of contrast in the tree/ bushes area, so there isn't as much visual interest.
Plus, the blue sky vs. red rocks is what makes the shot. IMHO, of course!

Then have at it! It's still Pentax, so it's all just relative. I printed that Coney shot at 20x30 and it's absolutely gorgeous, even with my nose (almost) touching the paper.

Actually, I have pretty mixed feelings about the 45mm (A). I just bought the 35mm (FA) and it out-resolves the 45 by a considerable margin, at least in my initial tests, and I never fell in love with the FEEL of the 45mm. There's something off about it, especially in the details.
At this point I'm planning on picking up the 55mm and walking around with the 35, 55, and 75, instead. Though 45mm is still occasionally useful....
