Beautiful shot Tom. As a point of interest when your out and about.Tagging operations
for monarchs are getting underway across country.Especially up north as their movement proceeds
locations further south.Folks involved are delighted to have
any related info and data reported. MonarchButterfly.org good place to find info
if you run across a tag while out shooting.Believe there are some localized studies
on swallowtails too,harder find info on those though.
A couple from past few days.Going to be windy fall with all the warm water in gulf.

3rd generation monarchs giving way to 4th and last of season.About all thats seen
are males like this,females lay eggs and go a little quicker.Milkweed been hurt
by hot,dry summer.

large movement winding up around here, mostly monarchs, few swallowtails
lots of sulphurs like Petes(nice one). Dont think that one gets this far west, Ramseye
Id remember that one. One variety of swallowtail, and monarch 'straggler'
dont know if #3 is butterfly or moth.

Cant recall ever seeing brown leaf before, didnt realize what it was until I tried to get
1st shot and 'muffed it' changed len's and tried again.
