Folks talk too much at times Sinister, great composition, use of light and contrast.
If I can imagine myself stepping outdoors into scene, believe your image is what
I would see. +400 is my way of saying I like Tmax...and your pic

Some good looking work from Votesh and Mehanikaloptikal also.
Kinda owe someone a pic, just dont have time. Great looking stuff here eases the pain.

Some series NXS,enjoyed them

Portra will "git ya", is some nice stuff, great job with it too. A-7 was a close relatives ride for quite a while, takes me back in time just to see it.

Its getting beyond competative for many labs Kevin. Was popping off at post office
and people picking on it.Sad to know Javier wont be posting magnificent work of his.
FWIW,if K1000 is close to a college or university, normally some film activity around and might be able to pick up something helpful locally.

Not to launch into political rant Kevin, will be entirely different "feeling" if FedEx,UPS
pickup and deliver.

Have personal belief "challenge" of film keeps many of us "in the game".
Having worked over 37 years in electrical industry, its still a thrill to 'unplug'
and shoot without batteries.Selenium meter or kodak field guide works just
as well now, as compared to the day they came "out of the box"new.
Cant offer much info regarding mail order processing, other than what I
might come up with 'googling'.Dont really trust veracity of that kind of info
because the profit generated is no where close to what a digtal camera,
for instance, might generate.Best to get info for mail order from someone that does it.
Have talked with several managers at walgreens here regarding their operations.
Store closest says "film is strong","will be here for awhile" Yet,another store
just minutes away will say something completetly opposite.
Seems film use strongest in pacific northwest area of states,
might be a good place to look.

Heard she took off with a "biker"
Looks Fantastic Ven,great job. Dont know how you feel about it,but after using
D-76 to try for 4 stop push on some 100 legacy, think Im going to 'stick' to
Tmax(developer) for exposure index adjustments.Continue as always with
D-76 when "staying the course" at rated iso.

Trying to flatten some ektachrome 100G and 200,so I can get to scanning.
Let it dry too quick, really curled up.Little 'heavy' handed with film squeegee too.

Crazy looking grasshopper on ektachrome 100G. Tamron 52B(90mm F/2.5) 50mm extension(1:1). through ZX-L and AF200s. processed jobo CPE2 @ arista data. scanned epson V500

Some 100 legacy that I cut into thirds and respooled onto re-usable catridges.
Gives 3-10 frame "play" rolls,sometimes 11 frames.Meter was set at 800 iso
on LX and exposed accordingly.Developed with 50% expired C41 first developer
and 50% D-76(1:1) for toltal of 120ml. Rotary processed 13 minutes @ 21.5(c)
on jobo CPE2. Had A70-210/4 on body, shot at F/5.6.With green filter on lens.
No doudt,as Vendee says...Rodinal "were its at" when shooting Acros stock

Did a 'bang up' job on it Ven,really looks nice. Can I assume 'HC' as developer?
Neopan isnt a 'slouch' by any means,Tmax is amazing in its flexibilty.
Have 2 rolls now, 1-135 and 1-120 of Tmax 100.Searching the "world over"
for my yellow and green filters.Once found, think Im going to give it try.
Have some D-76 mixed, old enough were prudence might be best instead of
trying to do anything above 100 iso.Have 2 rolls of 100 legacy (135) too,
its "fair game" and sort of a test bench for Tmax and D-76.

Some great looking shots up there, J8's spotty shows what happens in capable hands.
Like Vendees ME(109),not "super" after all. What ever that canon is,its straight thru the crank,
great lookin shot, dont see the 'harvards' here much. Were displaced pretty much
by ryan AT-6's.Many of those still flying.

Walgreens had 4 roll packs(24 exp) of kodak gold 200 @ $12.99 this past weekend.
Itemized B.O.M. for this series.Shooting film doesnt have to be expensive.

Pentax ZX-L from craigslist @ $45
Tamron 52B(90mm F/2.5 macro) from Ebay @ $105
Tamron adaptall to PK adapter from KEH @ $25
Pentax AF200s flash from flea market @ $4
Film,processing,and scan from walgreens @ app. $15
$194 overall.

Prices like that allows my wife and I to cut 4 figure check to redcross for
people of Japan and know we're helping all over the world,in a way that
cant be done buying new.

1-Grasshoppers playing "leapfrog"
2-not sure what, symbiotic to buttonbushes and milkweed

Rotten ^$#%#&*'s !!!!

Thanks Phil, hope I covered enough ground for all of us in regards to kodak.
Gotta feeling there's going to be a side by side refrigerator w/ glass doors listed on craigslist here before long.
Guess I bought last roll of ektachrome 200 from same folks.

Edit: Still available at a number of places.Have 2 rolls left. Ordered 4 more and that will be it.

Hard choice to make Erik, sounds like a fun one though. On one hand, have the
latitude of portra and on the other, saturation and color of ektachrome.
Gotta flip a coin to call that one. With ektachrome, did double check myself by taking
reflected metering off of gray card at subject, found myself speeding shutter
up a half-stop in most cases.Did seem to saturate at expense of some dark shadows.

Hope to see a sample when you have some time. Hard to get one's self out of
'chrome mode' once in it.

Used my DSLR to cheat Erkie, great meter, that K20:lol:
Heres one Im not talk'n bout...Double exposure on Ektachrome 200
One advantage of DSLR...sensor registration,never a problem:eek:

Under 8x loupe, doesnt seem to be a big difference between 100,200 ektachrome.
Can see diff' when scanned at max res on V500 and pixle peek'd.Feel that 200
with bit more speed gives a little 'sqeak by' room, kind of favor it.
Hard choice to make between E100G and Fugi 50,
but again, little extra speed and its benefits kinda pushes me towards E100G.
Hard choice though, that fugi is some great stuff.

See big difference with silverfast software
example is E100G scanned on V500,crop is house in upper left corner.
Even better with polarizing filter.Size and structure of grain does well for its self.
Still has "ektachrome" cast."Aint" the ektachrome 100 that replaced E64,for sure.

Statement is trip back in time for me,Nesster. Was a 'cub' (apprentice) at a weekly
here.To think back to elements of time and material resourses it took just to
convert one image to 3 color half tone,is something I'll never forget.
Look back on it and am amazed "anything" was ever accomplished.

More great stuff here,Mer really 'fanning the flame' to put a DA on body and try.

Always something fun from Nesster and the big apple.

Jealous of Javier on couple counts, #1-working ME super #2-shooting B/W
cant be envious 'bout that shot though.Thats a good one, through and through

@Javier...what temperature processed at?
My basement up to 75(F),never had much sucess above 68(F).
Have a bunch of B/W stock, been holding off 'till things cool down a bit.
For that matter, better developer than D-76,HC for higher temps?
Little leary about trying tempuring bath with ice or something like that.

Im like you too, short on count of short focal lengths.
Going to take a whirl at that on ZX-L one of these days.
