Thanks folks!! They are 80% of full size. I have the magnifying loupe on my eyepiece and I had to turn it portrait so it would get the whole bird in because it tends to cut off the head or tail with the slightly decreased field of view. Its a shame the A* 300 won't take the A x-L series rear converters, you could probably get some good results with them.

Here are some from my A*600mm
These two are the same bird, it just flew to a different branch for the second one.


These two Harrier Hawks were a real treat but man do they have and erratic flight pattern looking for food over a field. It was hard to track handheld. A good picture of a Harrier has eluded me for a long time so I was happy to get these.


And then two more that are a little more normal. These finches(I think) were in one of the trees I ended up next to so I shot them real quick but it was so cold out that I couldn't justify staying since they weren't meat eaters.
