Nice colours and composition but I agree a little over sharp. What camera settings were you using? Did you do any PP?
I am still experimenting with the settings on my K10D. I read a review at:
DCRP Review: Pentax K10D
which recommended adjusting the default to Contrast +1, Sharpness +2, as the reviewer felt the default settings didn't produce good results for jpegs. It also suggested perhaps adjusting Saturation to +1. The sharpness adjustment certainly seemed to make a difference when I did some experiments in my own rudimentary way. I have set my camera up as the reviewer suggested but don't know if these suggestions are still valid as the firmware has probably been updated since the review. Your captures have made me feel I need to experiment with some flower shots.
