I love the facial expressions in this one as the inevitable presents itself.
From the ball carriers "your goin' down big guy" to the watcher's "uh oh... this is gonna be ugly'

Sigma 70-200 here.
In camera OS, have never used the Sigma option.
These arent too bad to get, the AF copes quite well and the keeper rate is 70-80%

Similarly this generally a safe shot as a bit of panning is involved. Can occasionally back focus. Keeper rate on this type of thing 80-90%

This is the hard one. The bikes are out of sight until they appear in front of you and travelling at speed, the camera has little time to acquire and hold and if it doesnt get it right the first time the series is generally out.
Keeper rate on these is 60-70%, most misses will come from shots like this one where there is no high contrast area to focus on, although this one has pretty well nailed it.

PS: I have the Tamron on another make of camera and it is equally as good as the Sigma inmho.
