Happily keep all the caramel on this side the table.

Ahhh Pinot Noir. My wine. And you are absolutely correct when you say we do not do it well in SA, no argument here on that, but that is probably more climate driven than anything else. The Vics do it a little better and the Tasmanian's & New Zealanders quite rightly are very proud of their Pinots and the French of course also do it well..... but I crave Pinot Noir from Oregon & Washington State's Willamette Valley...they are superb, rarely seen here and I am looking forward to having a few when I get over there later this year.

The vine is not a native Australian plant, to the best of my knowledge, so it had to come from somewhere. We had a lot of Prussian / German immigration in our original settlement days, so I think they will lay claim to having introduced the vine to South Australia at least, which was largely settled by that group in the Barossa Valley, our premier wine district. ….apologies to Clare Valley, Coonawarra, Mc Laren Vales, Langhorne Creek and Adelaide Hills.

Well, I'm a great believer in live & let live....so the chocoholics are welcome to do that....but don't ask me to partake, I'm very happy with my caramel. :)
salt & butter? have had that somewhere, it wasn't all bad.

Ok buddy....that's enough of this (all the best wines come from Finger Lakes) stuff....that is highly inflammatory to the gaggle of South Australians on here. We may grudgingly admit that there may be some poor souls on this planet (& hey...we found you  ) that do not know that THE best wines are in fact from South Australia. We take personal responsibility for not spreading the word far and wide (enough) but will now hound you into the nearest fine wine store in search of a bottle of Basket Press or some other fine drop from our vast array.

We do not take ANY responsibility for the fact once you take your first glass you will think LBA is just a sniffle...actually the two go very well together.:D

And this a less serious note towards 40,000

Sure, I get that, and the reviewer can even design a graph or table that will exaggerate the difference....but it is still only 5 grams...whatever that is, (I have been trying to find something of that weight ! and not having much success, none of my scales go to that finite detail)…..but even 20-30 grams (a household teaspoon) is an insignificant weight in real life. :D

I understand that we are all trying to get to the 40,000+ posts, so we will talk about pretty well anything....but how heavy is 5 grams in real life (the first person that says 5 grams gets electronically & metaphorically punched ;-) )….is it the weight of a dime, a ten cent piece (Aussie), a dollar coin…. ? My point being it is a decimal point of not very much and I doubt any of us could determine it if we were to hold it in our hands. So, sure the mk2 is 5 or 10gms heavier than the ND850....woo hoo !! does it matter.... really ??
