Great idea, I hadn't thought of that yet. I did have a good deal of sand on much of my gear that day so it is quite possible there was some wedged against the button somewhere.

K1 stuck directional pad buttons

Two of my directional pad buttons are stuck in the pressed-in position. It essentially renders the camera useless because I can't change any other settings due to this button being permanently activated.

I did shoot in the ocean last week and my camera certainly took some splashes. I had not had any issues until today but got a little bit of moisture on the camera and I am wondering if there may have been some salt under the buttons from the previous shoot which caused the buttons to stick from the moisture today. Has anyone had this issue and other than lightly rinsing with water are there any great solutions to this? My biggest concern is it happening again and being forced to give up on a shoot. I was unable to free the buttons while in the field today so I was forced to call it quits but I really don't want to risk a future occurrence.
