Haha, I know right. Oh well, it happens. Fortunately I have a backup! Another casualty of the incident was my DA * 16-50mm..... probably why I'm back to shooting with my Takumars. :)

I dropped my K-20 last July so it's back to my old K-100 for awhile. Here are a few shots from my hunting trip earlier this month.

The screws have backed out a little allowing the ring to spin. The easy solution is to buy the correct screwdriver (they come in handy anyway!), rotate the ring to the correct position and tighten the screws down. Three screws if i recall correctly. You can put a little dab of clear nail polish on the screw heads to help prevent them from backing out again. Good luck!

Yes, another cat picture from me. I should really find something else to shoot. But I think they are kinda cute......
I've always been happy with the performance of the Super Takumar 55mm f1.8. One of my best performers a couple of clicks down from wide open, and at a cost of only $10.00 it's hard to beat.

Just a quick snap of my wife's new kitten with the Super Takumar 55mm f1.8 @ f2.8. I was trying to get some quick snaps with my DA 40mm, but almost all were not focused right. I grab the 55mm and now it's in focus, see how easy that was. :) Auto focus is just too hard..... |

Great set of photos. I really like the foggy landscapes, especially the second one. It looks like a black and white photo fading to color on the other side. Very cool. :)

Thanks for the comment Nesster. :) The camera you posted above is very cool. I'd love to get my hands on something like that!

For those asking about the older 28mm f3.5 hood, here is a shot (not taken with a takumar! ). 58mm filter thread size from an early version of the lens, with the pressure screw on the side. |

There are some signs of spring starting to show up where I live. Shot wide open. Cropped quite a bit. :o

Thank you Mike and Richard. :) I'm always impressed with the quality of this $10.00 lens, one of my favs for sure. I'm having fun with my new k20 as well. It really makes these old lenses a joy to use.
Mel, your shot of that guy cracks me up. What a great capture.

Well, I don't want my membership in the Takumar club to be revoked. So I figured I better post something since it has been awhile.

Yes, you need this adapter to mount your screw mount lenses. The Pentax one is the best that I have used.

Just a test shot from my "new" Super Takumar 300mm f4.0 that arrived yesterday. Of course the only suitable model I could find was the cat. She is always willing to pose. |

Well, I have a Takumar F/E 17mm on the way now too. :o I've blown my lens budget for a long time, and tested my wifes patience. So I'm done for now.

Just a snapshot from yesterday of my boys. I really like this focal length for people pictures. And I think the colors turn out really nice as well. Not bad for a $10.00 lens.
