I love the sharpness of this SMC Takumar 50mm 1.4. Has an ancient filter on it - not sure Hoya Skylight something. |

Yes guys, I think it was a young one. Hawk sounds good to me. They are always flying around the neighborhood (or gliding I should say). Got frightened off by a Blue Jay, this one. I do get some strange wild life here. I took this shot through my bedroom glass window pane. We border into a bayou and it attracts all kinds of critters. :)

Thanks for the identification of those two birds. Being in Houston, Texas, we do get these unusual birds. We have a flock of those ducks in the neighborhood. And the heron was trying to catch a fish in the lake. The shimmer in the water was not very attractive but it wasn't oil. The fish seemed to like it. :D

I went around the neighborhood and found these birds. I shot them using the K-x. No idea what these birds were however. Some kind of duck and a stalk? |
