Not too sure if anyone feels the way I do, but the D600 seems alot lighter than the D700. I love my K5, but going on holiday with it with a kx and some lenses in my bag, it really feels heavy and just sucks the fun out of taking pictures for me. I use a sling bag as I want quick access to my other camera though.

IMHO, take into consideration the weight of your gear. The 200-300 grams between the D700 and D600 do make a difference after a long while.

Wow. I feel like gettin a D600 already. Marginally heavier than the k5. Problem is taking the immense hit on my DA limiteds..... I have all except the DA40mm. :(

I would suspect that the 70-200mm VR2 would be a good choice, given its rave reviews. Do note that it has focusing breathing issues though. Since weight and $$$ is not an issue, I doubt you can go wrong with that lens.

Nice shots Simon! Just wondering, are you using Nikon CLS? Or manual flash with wireless triggers?

Wow congrats frogfish on your new D800. So tempting to go FF but I can't imagine taking the hit on reselling my gear. How are you liking the D800 vs the K5? Is it much heavier?

Bossa did your DA*55mm sdm fail? Damn I thought the sdm in that lens was pretty solid. I don't use mine enough but love it when I do. Been avoiding all other sdm lenses though.

Weird. The 70-200 is a very popular lens for nikon and I am sure that many users would complain if LR screws up pics with their lens corrections. Could it be a lens fault?

Wow i agree. Stunning shot. Perhaps you could add more black background to the bottom to even out the top and bottom? More symmetrical I guess.

Wow. Super dog shots!

Seem like a D700 with the Rokinon 24, 35, 85 is a darn fine combination! Anyone knows if catch in focus (I think its trap focus in Nikon land) work well with the D700 and the Rokinons?

The recent price hike makes me tempted to join Nikon. But I am too heavily invested in the DA limiteds and DA*55mm. Why don't you like the 31mm?

Wow so many pentaxians migrating to canon or nikon... less great shots in the FA limited and DA* club soon. Pity about the weight though.

Hoping for a FF GXR M mount or a Pentax dslr soon...

A quick question, do you guys use macs? I see myself getting a mac in the future and aperture 3 seems to be getting rave reviews. But I am a little hesitant giving up lightroom in the event that i choose to go back to windows.

I got lightroom but how did you guys become so good at editing your photos? Is there a book you read? Or a workshop you attended?
