My yard is dominated by sparows which provides a challenge in getting a variety of 'poses'. I am quite happy just watching their 'aggressive' dinner manners and the occasional moments when the light makes them into more than a little brown bird

Sparrows in their pecking order, unfortunately these and blue/coal tits are as exotic as the bird life gets round here.

One of the pigeons that lurks under a bird feeder waiting to clear up after the (mainly) sparrows have eaten

Playing with 55-300 and kenco 1.5 converter and caught these through kitchen window, the combination seems to work reasonably well and I had no more trouble than usual in getting the lens to focus

Blue tit on feeder, these are very nervous and rarely stop moving so its a matter of focusing on feeder and clicking when when one comes near.
