I have a K-3 and K-1. Both are great; neither are limiting my photography. The K-1 makes sense for people invested in FF glass like I was but honestly for most applications even the K-3 is overkill. I can say that the 16-85 on the K-3 outperforms the 16-85 on the K-1. On the other hand, I have seen no lens on the K-3 that comes close to the 15-30 2.8/K-1 combo. FYI that includes my DA 14, or DA 12-24. Hope this is a help. The KP would be a great option to go with what you have.
