Here's my old new MZ-5. It has convenient retro controls and it looks nice. The lack of DoF preview and selectable AF points don't really bother me, but I don't think I can live without simple exposure lock that it doesn't have. I'll probably replace it with a MZ-5n. |

You have nowhere to hurry. Until there are people who use aucustic guitars to make music and real pencils to draw picures, there will always be people who take real photos instead of recording bytes. Some very special and expensive processes like Kodachrome may dissapear, but at least in our lifetime b&w film won't go aywhere.
Here are some photos of my *ist I actually already introduced. |

Thanks! They really aren't very popular, probably because people want the older retro-looking metal cameras or newer feature-packed autofocus ones. Other than the DX coding, the P30s are great for manual focus lenses.

What do you want to know? As you mentioned, it's a fairly basic camera with little user control. It's has plastic housing, which is not very durable, but the paint won't wear off. Split image and microprism on focusing screen, so it's very easy to focus. If you want manual focus and don't push/pull film, the P30 series is a good choice. I'll probably add some photos here once my P30 and P30t arrive. Why No Love for the Pentax P3N? |

Here's my Pentax *ist with two of it's best companions. The Cosina 19-35 is for those cool wide-angle photos and the Pentax 1.4/50 for those shallow DOF images.
