Yep the foliage looked a bit pale for me too. Especially if they don't produce a little berry. Sorry :(

Ok just so you know that shrubs ain't my cup o tea :) But I'm going to say Rhaphiolepis indica AKA "Pink Lady" AKA "Indian Hawthorn" But the foliage is a little more silver than i am used to .
Out of curiosity do the blooms turn into a little fruit/berry ?

WOW it must be very dry indeed ! they will take extreme dry without damage, But die quite easily with excess water. I guess you missed the rain from "Lee" . We got the remnants here in Memphis last night, Not much rain at all.

Very nice Shooz ! Crisp where it's supposed to be and dreamy where it counts. All the same lens ? 50-200 with 2x converter ?

Dune : Maybe a yarrow of some kind but it just doesn't look right to me. Hard for me to tell without foliage :)
Shooz : I see this one often but for the life of me can't remember what it is.

Yep pretty close. It has dark purple outside with a white center. we always had one greenhouse full of them in hanging baskets and the hummingbirds would go nuts going from bloom to bloom :) Looks like they are well liked at your house too !

Nice shot !!!

This one is an old standby that has sold well in baskets since long before my time :)
And is still going strong.

Quite often at certain stages of development those fuzzy stamen are pinkish purple as I recall, But I haven't seen them for a few years now. They are really nice in the landscape and you have made them really nice in photos too . But most types I'm familiar with are purple as you say Pete.

The bloom is very much like Tradescantia Snow Cap or AKA snow cap spiderwort But without the foliage it's just a hunch :)

Also if you let the little fruit get really ripe then just touch the pod, it bursts open and throws the little seeds quite far. It has a lemony dill like taste. Quite sour. Hence the other name for it "Oxalis" another of the shamrock family. I think some of the other sorrels share this same flavor but are not in the Oxalis family.
We always knew when the fruits ripened growing up on the dairy farm. Dill milk is not the best tasteing :)

And if you taste the little pickle shaped seed pod after the blooms have left they taste like a dill pickle :)

Well here is one of our local violas and a Grape Hyacinth. The Hyacinth is wide open on the Isco 35/2.8 on 17mm tube. The viola is f/16. Sorry handheld no flash and 20mph wind :)

Looks a little like "Sanfoin" but not a version I'm familiar with at that size. Or perhaps one of the myriad polygonums. There is a Pennsylvania polygonum similar to that but honestly without foliage I'm shooting in the dark too :)

Ah ! Much easier with the foliage ! That would be " Oxalis " Or " Purple Shamrock" for the generic term. I love that stuff. Easy to raise and spreads like mad.
Spring time is coming along nicely down there. Nice shots !
I'm having difficulty Identifying that MnM variety :)

First one is "Dianthus" or "Pinks" for the generic name. Same as "Carnation" except single bloom instead of fully double bloom
Not sure about the second one though. Can't make out the foliage :)

The flowers are really insignificant to this foliage plant. About 15mm top to bottom. But very orchid like .
