Let's try to revive this thread, shall we? :)
Last Saturday we went to the muddy volcanoes near Buzau (Romania) - one of the few locations in Europe where you can find them. I've yet to process the actual volcanoes pics, but here are a few showing 'photographers at work'... I call it 'the making of...' set :D

This was the first 'real' test for the lens, and I can say I was very happy with it, even for non-macro purposes.

Yeah.... Jay strikes again, it seems. I got the DA15 because of him, and now I have a DA35 on the way, guess whose fault is it? :)
mtngal, I was in the exact same boat, struggling to decide between FA31 and the macro... a very good local deal tipped the balance in favour of the DA. Very nice shots, by the way, especially the last two!
