Put it in bulb mode, stop it down to 1.8, and hold the button, you'll see it.

I've got another thread about this in the forums somewhere, but the support rep I talked to suggested that the lens may be a little wider than 1.8, say 1.75, but in that time they always rounded up.
He suggested that the 1.7 is actually rounded down, and the truth is somewhere in-between. All I know is that changing the lens to F1.8 and taking an image will actually stop it down a wee tiny bit if you watch it from the front.
It would be interesting to have someone test it for sure.
