I did the single in september challenge with a DA21, so I have plenty of examples. See here: Flickr: Search urje's photostream (I have many more, but apparently I don't tag quite as thorougly as I should...)
It's my favourite lens, and although I do not own a DA15, I think I prefer the less extreme FL of the 21. It's a wide normal to me, and I like wide normals :)

Since it appears to be the theme lately, here's another starburst with the DA21 :) |

well i didn't use the word 'completing', but i think a 15 would complement (or add to) a 35, while a 21 and a 35 would compete with each other for more or less the same shots, since they are closer together. So if you have a 35, a 15 would give you more new options, while some of the uses for the 21 are already covered by the 35.

@*******: I think the 15 and 35 would be a much better combo than a 21 and 35. The difference between 21 and 35 is noticable enough, but if you want to travel light, you don't really need both (I always leave my A35/2 home when I'm packing the 21). If you like the 35, there's no reason to get a competing lens when you can also get a complementing one.
@paperbag: same story, and I think 15/28/55 would make a great kit. 21 and 28 is really quite close if you're thinking in 3 primes.

it depends on your style. I usually use the DA21 as my widest lens, also for landscapes, and I hardly ever long for anything wider. Others feel the smaller length of the DA15 is ideal. if it's the only lens you'd bring, i'd go for the DA21, as you can crop your images to get a bit of a 'normal' view, and you could stitch panoramas if you like. If you're also bringing a longer lens (maybe a 50), perhaps the 15 would be better, as you could crop pictures from the 15 to about the 21 FOV and you sort of have both, and things (much) longer are covered with your other lens.

That's what happens often with me and the DS as well. The ISO number in the viewfinder of my new K-x is a blessing! Much more useful than the top LCD, imo...

I'm with scorpioh here. Not that I have any FA limited, but my DA21 is much less tight than all my M and A glass. Doesn't seem to bother the IQ, though.
These two are from Portugal, both DA21, first one shot through a scratched 3 stop grad grey filter. |
