Thanks a lot, Moe49. It's a fun way to celebrate. The displays aren't gigantic, but there are no crowds, and you can have your friends and BBQ.

Thanks, Back2shoot. I got lucky in that I just kind of glanced over when one went off and saw their silhouettes, so I set up and waited for the same cottage to shoot another one.

Thanks, Rosario_CH, I agree. The lake we live on is pretty small, and it is a much more intimate celebration, but that's why we like it. No giant crowds, just family and friends. :-)

We live on a small lake, and many people shoot off fireworks on the 4th of July. Our neighbors were out on their dock watching, when I noticed their silhouettes.
