The Yardbirds have been mentioned before in this thread. From page 2. (ya, I've been here long enough to remember page two. I'm pretty sure benjkan also mentioned the Yardbirds, but I can't find his post, talk about a name from the past.

Not a bird, but at the bird feeders.... hopefully that counts... my own title is "feeder creatures". I post every animal who comes to the feeders, bears, raccoons, red squirrels, chipmunks now deer.
Eating the black oil sunflower seeds from the rail, I wondered why it was licked clean this morning.

He licked the rail clean, then started on the food spilled on the ground. 2023-01-11-Deer-3 by Norm Head, on Flickr
While I was opening the window for these shots, it definitely considered a hasty retreat. I saw him leap over the rail without a running start earlier in the day. 2023-01-11-Deer-1 by Norm Head, on Flickr
Here's shot where I can claim I hiked through miles of bush and spent hours freezing in the snow to get the shot... I deserve to be paid. 2023-01-11-Deer-1 by Norm Head, on Flickr
I'm selling if anyone is buying it. Notice the ears pointing in different directions. That is a useful skill if your ecological niche is feeding predators.

You hummers look so fat. We never see them like that up here. Our northern flickers are gone as well.Next year. The Flickers had great year, the woods were just full of them. They nested right behind our property for the first time, We got to see the youngsters hunting ants around our well.

Crows.... when they first arrived for the spring. They are very difficult to photograph. This one taken through the kitchen window, so as not to spook them. We think the big one is last years chick. My November through spring migration catalogue. We've seen three types of hawk, The Broadtails have returned that we saw last year, many Flickers and our Merlin's re once agains nesting nearby.

Spring has sprung.
Not the best images, but the best considering the poor light... here because it marks an important day I might want to look up. A few years ago a raven started hanging out near our yard. The next year there were two. Last year, there was baby raven hopping around behind mom, with it's mouth open looking for food. Very cute. Today, the three returned. It's so good to see them all back, no mishaps in their travels. This taken through the kitchen window, because despite the fact that this is one's fourth year here, they are very shy. If I'd opened the window they would have been gone.
Here are two of them under the feeder rail, the third was back in one of the three flat ground feeding plots. 2022-03-07-Return-of-the-ravens by Norm Head, on Flickr
Yesterday, there were two Starlings out there. It was late in the day, and they aren't nearly as big. So, no image.
Birds at my feeders from day to day.
Year rounders...
Chickadees, Nuthatches, Wood peckers (Hairy, Downy, sometimes a Pilieated, Blue Jays. This year (and last year) but not every year, Pine Grosbeaks
Migrating recent arrivals Purple Finches, Goldfinches, Redpolls, Evening Grosbeaks, Pine Siskins, all of them finches. Notable absences, sparrows (White throated, American Tree sparrows, White crowned, chipping, Song Sparrows, especially Juncos. Normally we have ~10 with us all winter. This year, we have spotted one or two White Crowned Sparrows, but they've never stayed more than a day.

The red flowers in the second image make that image pop. Great capture.
I wonder if my appreciation is augmented by the fact, all I have around me is white snow. At the moment, I miss seeing flowers.... naw, it's just a great image. OK, I'm turning off my brain now. :D

The light is poor, but there's 13 wild turkeys at the feeders. You have to get a document photo.. eh? If you don't have a documentary photo, it didn't really happen, in some minds.
