I'm not sure whether you're referring to @Adam or the moderating team, @mee - but I've already asked twice in this very thread for members to stop arguing (see this post for the first instance). We rely on members to report posts they feel have broken our rules, to abide by any polite requests we make, and to minimise arguments by not participating in them (especially when it's clear it has turned to bickering). Usually, walking away is a good option.

With all due respect, Boris, both of those statements are so general - IMHO - as to be meaningless, without proper context. A fast, high-quality, wide-angle zoom (regardless of weight) offers advantages for many photographers that make it a much better choice than two light wide-angle primes in certain situations. Then again, in other situations, those two wide-angle primes may indeed be the much better choice. One setup doesn't replace the other - it depends on various factors as to which is better. The "users from Penta-club" really aren't in a position to offer wisdom and advice unless they fully understand the needs of everyone, and are more specific as to who their advice applies to...

I completely understand why those with older model cameras would appreciate the KAF4 functionality... I still shoot a GX-10 / K10D and K-5 (the K-5 has a higher shutter count, but the GX-10 is in the low thousands), and I would like it for those bodies too. However, there are plenty of lens choices available for the older cameras, and Ricoh has to draw the line somewhere... either because of technical limitations, or simply to encourage purchase of newer bodies. It is, after all, a business trying to be profitable :)
