Thanks, Pete :) She was well behaved for a few seconds, so I got three shots of her in this position and a couple of others that were slightly obscured by plants... but she didn't want to hang around :p
There's more truth in that than you know... Because of the limited creative possibilities due to the sensor size and the lens' real (rather than equivalent) focal length range, I typically leave this camera in P mode, and adjust only the ISO and EV compensation. So it was in this case... I set the ISO at 100, and due to the darker overall scene, dropped the EV comp down by two thirds of a stop. The camera did the rest. Not a lot of skill involved, frankly, but I have a photo - and in this instance, that's what counted :o

Thanks :) As I indicated, not my preferred camera for the shot, but in the circumstances it did its job well enough :o
Thank you :) I suspect "he" was a "she", by the looks of the belly area :D

I was playing around with the Panasonic DMC-FZ62 bridge camera I bought from my Dad a few months back, when I saw this little critter in one corner of my garden. She was moving every few seconds, and heading towards my neighbour's garden, so I had no time to run in and grab my K-3, fit the D FA100 2.8 Macro and go back out. My choices were the little Panasonic bridge camera, or nothing. I went with the Panny. Two minutes after that, she was gone...
Sometimes, the best camera really is the one you have with you :o
