@geo444
Sorry, I read your post not accurately enough, so I guessed you were speaking about your K-5.
And with my K200D and *istDS, exposure time in B setting is only limited by battery status (and maybe overheating of the CCD sensor).
@uttam.hathi
I also have a *istDS, and for this initiating debug is built-in, no need for a modset file.
But starting the debug mode is more complicated:
During switch on, press the AEL-L and INFO buttons at the same time.
After that, you have approximately 5 seconds to press the MENU button twice, then the INFO button.
Voilá!
Edit: You now see the debug menu, the cursor positioned on the first item DEBUG . Change it to .
To cancel debug mode, start the camera the same way, but now confirm the "DEBUG ".

@geo444
I don't know whether a hack could enable it, but I think many of the 3rd party remote timers do offer this possibility.@uttam.hathi
A complete list should also add information, what to do during switching on.
This is different for the Pentax DSLR series,
For the KM/K2000 you mentioned the pressing of the DELETE button.
For the K200D, the SD card door must be open instead (can be closed immediately after switching on).
