As others have said, use a Pentax one. I have some third party ones that fit like the Pentax one but the tolerances are poor and I only just managed to get a lens off the camera. I've also seen some where the chrome is flaking off. There are some things where cheaper copies are fine, but the M42->K adaptor is not one of them.

On my K-3 (and it was the same with the K10 and K20), "green button" metering (mainly with my K series glass) is regularly 3 or 4 stops over. Thankfully using the histogram helps get it right. I've largely given up using it. Mostly I take the photo, check the histogram, adjust and retake it. If I know I want to photograph something that moves, I'll pack more modern glass.
PS Much easier with Taks where I can use Av and the auto/man switch on the lens to open and shut the aperture.

I never stopped, just added digital to the arsenal. I have expanded into medium and large format film as well, though, having spent many years only shooting 35mm.

I especially like the fountain.
This one was shot using my ESII, probably my S-M-C Takumar 135mm f/2.5 lens on Kodak Ektar.

We are undertaking a geophysical survey for archaeology. Depending which of the machines we are using we were either measuring magnetism, electrical earth resistance or firing a Ground Penetrating Radar into the ground with the aim of producing maps of what is below the surface. If you look at our blog: hertsgeosurvey.wordpress.com you can see the results of some of the surveys.
Best wishes, Kris.

I almost spilt my tea when I read that... $20 for an AP and the 58/2? Bargain of the decade!

The two photos were taken a day apart. It is a robin of the British variety. Thanks for the kind comments. K.
