After months of brown with intermittent periods of white, it is rapidly turning green here at last and flowers are appearing. These blossoms are on my backyard crabapple tree.

A photograph from one of my favourite places, the Douglas Fir Trail. A challenging trail that winds up and down along an escarpment, it is a place to find a sense of being in the mountains in the middle of the city. This past Saturday I made my first visit of the season.
