RollsUp, I have always enjoyed your scenes from the north! The portraits and the outdoor shots are stunning. Most people I know are keen on vacations in warmer climes but I hope to head to the arctic someday.

The initial goal of the Singles challenge was to help curb LBA by spending a month with one of those lenses you don't use much, get to know it, even decide if it's a keeper. You can take as many shots as you want and with as many lenses as you want on any given day as long as you come up with one with your lens of choice to add to the daily thread. Some days with work and life it is difficult if not impossible to come up with anything worthwhile. Then there is the social element of supporting one another and commenting. I take part from time to time and I am now repeating lenses because I don't own that many but I have learned a lot, especially when using a focal length that I am less comfortable with. Some members have been taking part each month for over a year! I find it especially helpful in a month like January when short days, cold weather and lack of natural colour would naturally limit my photography.

Well you have been busy so far wolfiegirl! I have not had much time for photography over the last few days but I did hit the downtown core yesterday. These shots also appear in the current Single In January challenge in the Groups section.
I shot these towers yesterday but today high winds caused the sign atop the right office tower to come loose and they had to close a street for a few hours. Golden towers by jmschrei, on Flickr
I don't use selective colour much but this billboard seemed the perfect subject: Getting your attention by jmschrei, on Flickr
