I think my S-M-C 105 behaves somewhat like your ST 105 in sunlight. I always use the hood, but nevertheless, it's difficult to use in sunlight. -Washes out with the slightest touch of sun on the element.
My other S-M-C/S-Tak's are not like that at all.
In overcast or evening/night, I'm very satisfied with it's rendering and bokeh though.
It's now my bad weather/evening lens.

Thanks:)
It was sunset.. sort of. 2PM. This time of year, the sun never comes high above the horizon up here. Nice warm sideways-light.

I agree, sorry. It was an S-M-C Tak in near mint contition, on ebay. And the bidding activity was quite high near the end.
The last three Super-Tak 105's I bet on ended on $100-$140, so $100 for a Super is indeed achievable.

More expensive than most Takumars.
I got one for £160 a few weeks ago, in very good contition with hood, caps, case, and manual. The hood is nice. You can also use it on your 1.8/55 if you shoot digital.

-The color one! I think the color is the thing that makes this photo work. (My opinion.)

Thank you very much Ira and DaniRo!
I wouldn't have heard of Takumars if it wasn't for this thread.
I bought this lens before I bought my first dslr (K7) this week :)
