This has been a local story for the last week and thankfully it turned out with a happy ending. Thought I would share with everyone here in the hopes that you all stay safe in your wilderness photography excursions.
The president of a columbian (the country) university went out to a park to take pictures of wood ducks and accidentally went off the trail because the pond he was looking for had dried up do to a drought we have been experiencing. He ended up walking a few hundred meters past the end of the trail and got lost in the swamp. He was stuck out there for four days instead of the 45 minutes he was planning to go. He was rescued on Wednesday.
Enjoy the summer, be careful, and remember to bring a snack and some water. Colombian university president says he never gave up hope while stranded in Lafitte swamp | NOLA.com
No word on which brand camera he used to use.
