I like that blurred one too. Sometimes there's only one good shot from a session of many but that always beats no good shots! :D

I love the snow and ice of winter. A favorite time to make images! Although last winter was harder than usual because of lack of snow. But as a result the ice was extra good!

It's a chain link fence. As soon as I saw how it reflected that backlight I knew a bokeh shot was in order. :cool:

When I use the Helios for portrait sessions, I describe it as a lens with Instagram filters already baked in. :)

Thanks, I like that character this imparts to a shot, mostly from the swirly bokeh. My copy is reasonably sharp so that sharpness combines with the funky swirly bokeh and often some flare make for some fun shots with a lot of character. I like it for portraits too. I use the Catch In Focus feature with it to get sharp shots and that seems to work pretty well.

Yes, I have heard of that happening but most people here know the drill. I got a tip from the owner of the house this little one was hanging out there. I just crept up for a few shots and then slipped away as quietly as I could. The little fawn never acknowledged me although I think I saw an ear tune my way once. Hopefully no significant disturbance. This is a home turned business on Main Street so it's a reasonably active area with people coming and going and most not noticing.
