I think that Ricoh/Pentax would be foolish to let APS-C "wither on the vine", and that there should still be development of advanced as well as entry level cropped bodies. There is too big a gap between the price of a K-3 class body and the K-1. I am sure Ricoh/Pentax would love it if every K-3 / K-3 II user upgraded to the K-1 would upgrade to the K-1, but that's not gonna happen (and not just for cost, at least not yet).
As for lenses, I also feel that Ricoh/Pentax will have to continue with two lines (FF and APS-C) of lens development, although (obviously) FF lens development should take priority. However, there should certainly be some APS-C users that will buy FF lenses, both current and future models.

Yeah -- an AF.C performance improvement alone would make it worth upgrading (in my case, from a K-3) -- anything/everything else would be like frosting on the cake.
Although I do like good frosting on my cake...
