anyone ever got free sensor clean from pentax under standard warranty?

You might want to check out the Panasonic FZ1000. It's a fixed-lens superzoom with a large 1" sensor and a bright lens. It also shoots very nice video, even in 4K. Performance wise, it is closer to a DSLR than a point and shoot. Obviously image quality won't be quite as good as a DSLR, but you never have to change lenses.

Usually I get the sensor clean the first go, but sometimes, as you indicated, you will have a different dust spot or two. If that happens, then I just do it again.

Do Canon, Nikon, Sony, or Olympus, or anybody else for that matter, do free sensor cleanings? If so, I've never heard of it.

My Rocket blower has taken care of any large dust blobs I've found on my sensor. Sensors get dirty so often that I don't see the sense in paying for a cleaning, unless it's a case where air will not blow the blob off.
