Well, how much is a 300mmf4? Plus the 70-200f4IS is €1050 (discounted) and the 60-250 has more range.
I am starting from the assumption that the 60-250 aims at excellent quality on all accounts and hence uses high quality APO and aspherical glass which are expensive (I also dream of fast AF but...).
Of course, if AF is slow, images soft at f4 and there is a lot of Pf and CA... even €600 would be too much! :D
In fact, this lens is a real challenge: since it's f4 it HAS to be very good wide open and since it's a x4 zoom, it has to maintain a high level of quality through a considerable range.
If Pentax can pull it off, it will not be a cheap lens and it's 100% justified.

I'd guess around $1000 for the first few month, lowering to $900-ish afterwards and stabilizing around $800-900 thereafter (street prices)...
That could means an announce price of $1200.

Everything!
The 70-200f4 IS is an extraordinary lens and is better than the DA* 50-135 on all accounts:
CA, PF, resolution, vignetting (of course, it's a FF lens), distortion, AF speed (by a large margin) and finally IS (last generation is about one stop more efficient than Pentax's SR).
I do hope that the 60-250 will come close but it's a real challenge, this zoom has no equivalent in other makes.
It's actually the only reason I am hesitating selling my 30D... I'll probably keep it anyway!
