That bird looks for all the world like an old dowager wearing lipstick....grin...This is an awesome lens. I haven't have a whole lot of time so far to use mine but pics like these they really inspire...

This one has been a grail lens of sorts for me. $350 plus is about 2X what I usually spend on a lens. This lens it's just too much money for me really to just go for it. I wanted it, bad, but rationalizing it that was more difficult. But the other night I stumbled across a kit for like $599 with this lens, a DA 50 F1.8, and a K5II and I just had to kill the credit limit and go there. 2100 clicks, that it. I still don't quite know what I am going to sell to be able to keep it all, but getting this lens and the DA 50 and a K5II for that little was just the bomb, and it was just in time for the holidays too, grin...

I've been playing with it for a little bit shooting just around the house. So far I'm very impressed with my copy. It's pretty quick. It's got dead on AF even in near dark, no flash, and that's through most of it's range and with the iso limited to 1600 max. Almost every pic, regular object or text, clear, sharp, very nice. The few times I haven't gotten a decent image it's definitely been my fault not the lens. I can't wait to take this outside and shoot a bit. This lens looks like it was definitely worth the wait!
