Hello,
Your lens has a 49mm thread according to our spec's;
The Cokin Creative Filter System consists of a rectangular plastic filter holder with four slots (one for Cokin rotating filters and three for rectangular ones).
Cokin "P" Series - Filter Holder, 49mm CBP40049 B&H
This plastic hood acts as a lens shade and clips directly on to the Cokin "P" filter holder with filters in place. It is possible to stack multiple hoods to create a longer lens shade for telephoto lenses.

Hello,
Filters or any lens accessory must be mounted directly to the front of the lens barrel. Moving the filter away carries the risk of the surface of the filter becoming part of the image, say a blemish which mounted close to the front element will have little affect.
