Well, my old Raleigh finally went belly up, the rear hub won't pull the chain any more, and way too many parts in there for me to try and rebuild it, so I recently stumbled into another 3 speed. Seems to be in good shape, I had to air up the tires and clean it a little, still needs a bit of work but not much. Some surface rust on handlebars and fenders, aluminum foil will take care of that but I'm waiting for better weather...other than that still need to check front wheel bearings, that kind of thing but it works perfect.
So now this is my "new" ride IMGP76794 by Paleo Pete, on Flickr

Arnold - Yep that's pretty close to what it once looked like but that's a different model, mine has a much smaller front axle. Otherwise it's very close. Mine's just really old and well used, surface rust on the fenders and handlebars, but still in good working condition, I just parked it a few minutes ago...

My old 1969 Raleigh Sports. Got it in 1996, $10 at a yard sale, no telling how many miles I've put on it, just for starters 10-14 miles a day for 3 years in north Louisiana, and I have no idea how many pictures posted here on the forums have been taken from that seat...It's on its second set of tires, second set of brake pads, just replaced the rear brake cable...2nd one for me...
