To be honest I never use the LV in my k5 for anything, but I do not use the video option either and I love to use my view finder way more so that doesn't even bother me the lack of LV. The other thing is I never seem to go over iso 800 any way and if I do I go for the k5 so that does not seem to bother me and if you really need it you can push the k10's iso to 1200 and still get useable prints just not over 8X10.

I have had good results up to iso 800 on the k10 its just past that it gets to noise ridden for me but from 100-400 it is just stunning. I would say the k10 has the best color rendering at 100 iso of all pentax cameras.

I still have my k10d as my backup and my 2nd shooter at weddings and I want to say that I do still get great images out of this camera. I also use a k5 and I use the slow glass on that and the fast on the k10. But I would say the ccd sensor gives better color I just wish it had a better ISO range.
